Reimagining Monuments with Clay: How to Care for Our Memories, Ourselves, and the Landscape
April 17 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Saturday, repeating until May 1, 2021

We are going to use clay to discuss the idea of a monument. Starting with small models on day one, the projects will grow in scale over the class cycle, to culminate in a temporary outdoor installation at GARNER Arts Center. Together, we will reflect on the cultural and ecological impact of human presence in nature and how it manifests in our constructed landscapes. Contemporary, historical and prehistoric references will be presented, allowing participants to contribute to the discussion from their center-heart-place.
