| The Bardavon 1869 Opera House, Inc. presents performances by touring artists and fosters
the creation and development of new works. In its 900-seat theater,
it presents the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and a full season of
music, series for senior citizens. It facilitates collaborations
that bring artists, businesses and government together to encourage
community solidarity and assist economic revitalization. |

| Barrett Art Center/Dutchess County Art Association, located
in an 1800s Greek Revival townhouse listed
on the National Register of Historic Places, conducts exhibitions
of contemporary art and historic merit;
operates a year-round art school for adults and children, and presents
educational programs-workshops, seminars, lectures, gallery talks
and tours at its downtown Poughkeepsie location. In addition, a darkroom,
printing press and lending libraries are available to the public
and members. |

| The CENTER for Performing Arts at
Rhinebeck offers a variety of
productions in its 165 seat theater. The CENTER fosters an environment
where artists are free to create and where community members of all
ages and abilities can experience the arts as performers, audiences,
students and teachers. Educational experiences include classes in
acting, voice and movement, technical design, and script writing. |

| Children's Media Project is a non-profit arts and education
organization focusing on media and technology. Our mission is to
create a teaching/ learning environment where artists, educators,
community activists and particularly children and youth can learn
to interact with media arts both as creators and critical viewers.
CMP believes in making a social investment for community transformation.
We provide access to skills, processes, and tools necessary for
creation and appreciation of media as arts, as activism, as education
and as entrepreneurship. |

| The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center seeks to meet the artistic and
educational needs of the Hudson Valley by showcasing professional
and community artists in theater, music and the visual arts. The
arts center is located in two historically significant and beautiful
Victorian buildings that form the jewel of the River District of
Poughkeepsie and provide a variety of performance, exhibition and
office spaces, and a unique forum for the fine and performing arts. |

| The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum is a place where children discover,
experiment, and explore their world through hands-on exhibits and
children's original artwork – a place where the arts and
the sciences join hands in teaching children about the world they
live in. The museum offers interactive performances, workshops,
presentations, playgroups, summer camp, and an arts and culture

| Mill Street Loft is a Multi-Arts Educational Center offering creative and culturally enriching art classes, year-round, for children and adults in the Hudson Valley. Programs include: the award-winning Dutchess Arts Camp; year round Art Institute, a portfolio development program for motivated teens; a Junior Art Institute, focusing on drawing and painting for ages 11-14; Project ABLE, an arts-driven job skills training program for disadvantaged youth; Habilidad, a bi-lingual life and job skills arts program for Hispanic youth; PASWORD and Project AWARE, empowerment programs using the arts to address gender-specific issues for girls ages 11-15; an arts-in-education program with Ulster BOCES, as well as, collaborative programs with other area organizations. |

| Upstate Films is THE place for international cinema throughout
the Hudson Valley. Since its founding in 1972, Upstate has been
engaged in exhibiting contemporary cutting edge films as well as
the artistically enduring films of cinema's past 100 years. The
original theater was renovated and an additional 88-seat screening
room was added in 1999. Upstate often presents lively in-person
discussions with both emerging and established filmmakers. |

| Pawling Concert Series produces an annual series of professional
classical, jazz, and world music performances as well as dance events.
The series draws from eastern Dutchess County, Putnam and Westchester
Counties, and from Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut. |

| Rhinebeck Chamber Music Series produces
an annual series of chamber music featuring world-renowned professionals
as well as local and emerging artists, and coordinates arts residencies
in the schools. The Church of the Messiah, with its gothic structure,
stained glass windows and wonderful acoustics, provides the background
for this diverse eight-concert series. |
