Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra Concert: Early Valentine
February 2 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm$5 – $25
Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra celebrates Valentine’s Day early with an evening of popular love songs and a cabaret
HYDE PARK, NY – Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra (NDSO) will perform a collection of love songs followed by a cabaret in their upcoming concert “Early Valentine” on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. in the Marriott Pavilion at The Culinary Institute of America. The performance will begin with selections from the Great American Songbook including music from George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, and Cole Porter. Music Director, Kathleen Beckmann who designed the program says, “I am excited to present our audience with a wonderful romantic evening of all our favorite love songs. The concert is the perfect way to “warm up” on a chilly February evening.”
Married Broadway performers Erin Stewart and David DeWitt will also team up with the orchestra in a unique cabaret setting to perform their favorite songs from the Great White Way, the Great American Songbook, as well as old Hollywood gems while sharing humorous anecdotes from their experiences as parents and as a couple. Additional selections will include songs from The Phantom of the Opera (the show they met on!) as well as timeless favorites including Our Love is Here to Stay and Dancing Cheek to Cheek.
To complement this evening of romance, the CIA will open the Caterina de’ Medici restaurant for a special $39 pre-performance dining experience. The menu will include family-style Caesar salad and antipasti, a selection of five gourmet pastas served table side, and a dessert. Reservations for this pre-performance dinner are available from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The $39 excludes beverages, service charge, and tax. To book your table, call 845-905-4533 or email [email protected] This special dining event will sell out, so please make reservations early.
Tickets for the concert are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $5 for students. NDSO also offers a reserved seating package which includes choice of show seating and guaranteed seating at the Caterina de’ Medici restaurant for $45 per person (does not include $39 for dinner).
