An Opening Reception for Photowork 2021: 34th Annual National Juried Photography Exhibition and a solo show, Nene Aïssatou Diallo: belonging to a memory, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the galleries of Barrett Art Center’s historic 1840’s townhouse, located at 55 Noxon Street, Poughkeepsie, New York.

Photowork 2021 juror, Audrey Sands, Phoenix Art Museum & the Center for Creative Photography, selected 39 photographic artworks from over 1200 submissions from the US and around the world. Three works will be recognized with juror’s awards announced at the opening reception.

A solo show of work by Nene Aïssatou Diallo entitled “belonging to a memory” will also open in the art center’s Crenson Gallery that afternoon. This exhibit is the fourth of four solo shows selected by Ashley James, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.
