ABOUT PULSO DE BARRO
Pulso de Barro's mission is to create an inclusive and safe platform where it is possible to explore the music, dance, and native traditions of the lineage we share. Pulso de Barro is the result of syncretism between the different territories that unite us. Through creative work we seek to give space to our many identities. With a focus on traditional Jarocha music from Mexico, and exploration of various other genres from the Caribbean and Latin America, Pulso de Barro supports and encourages the recognition of music in communities as a vital part of their articulation. Music, dance, and traditional verse are shared in a community project that is transmitted in events, presentations, radio, and workshops for the common group. We believe that the countless stories of our territories are embodied in the creative flow and that by exploring it we will find a place to learn and re-imagine our future.
