Her work is influenced by her love of her cherished Hudson Valley and its school of painters. Henri Cartier-Bresson and classic noir films have affected her monotone work. A self-taught photographer, Barbara’s subjects range from landscapes to abstractions and from straight photography to, more recently, digital art. She emphasizes the many dimensions of reflections and the energy of contrast. For Barbara, the art of looking is as important as the rest of the image creation process.
