Robin Adler

Robin Adler is a contemporary artist, born in Norfolk, VA, and currently living in the Hudson Valley of NY. She has studied abstract painting and printmaking at the Woodstock School of Art. She works in oil, pastel, acrylic, cold wax, ink, gouache and watercolor. She is interested in the interplay between color, movement, form, line, and markings. She works intuitively: her brush strokes are rapid and gestural, with scratches and squiggles that suggest tempo and rhythm. Robin endeavors to go outside the limits and bounds toward a greater sense of freedom and possibility. She is currently exhibiting work at galleries in the Hudson Valley, including Emerge Gallery & Art Space.
