Erin Koch is a landscape and studio painter living in Poughkeepsie, NY who also works as an art teacher. Erin believes in the value of art to uplift our lives, bring beauty into our homes, and stimulate our imagination. She is inspired by the trees, rivers, highlands and grasslands of the Hudson Valley as well as Buddhism, mythology, and collaboration with her community. Her goal is to bring happiness to others through her art. These watercolors of locally painted sites are meant to be rich in color and inviting. These paintings are sensitively attuned to their specific location. Each work begins with a drawing study, a color study then the final work. All work is on the finest archival watercolor paper.
