Join us for an informative workshop on the essentials of retirement savings and investing, tailored specifically for freelancers and independent contractors. Hosted by Arts Mid-Hudson in partnership with Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, this session will cover the basics of retirement, stocks, and how to begin investing.

About the Teaching Artist: Daniel McDonough, CRPC®, is the Vice President of Wealth Management at the MHV Investment & Retirement Center, located at the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. He specializes in providing retirement and financial planning services to families and individuals, helping them achieve financial security and freedom. His expertise includes insurance and investment strategies, retirement capital preservation and income, as well as college funding plans.

Daniel excels in creating, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive financial plans tailored to individuals' needs. He takes great pride in helping people lead financially secure lives throughout their retirement journey.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf, and watching movies.

Melissa Colon is the Financial Education Program Manager at Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing financial literacy programs for schools, nonprofit organizations, and credit union members.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Long Island University. She is married with three children and lives in Warwick, NY.
