Workshop Description: Join Kim for a collage workshop! Collage is a very creative and relaxing art medium. In this workshop, we will be using torn or cut magazine pages to create an image of your choice. All materials will be provided… but feel free to bring any magazines you would like to use. We will be focusing on color (the more, the better!) and form to create your own artistic masterpiece!

About the Teaching Artist: Kim Steinard is a Hudson valley artist who is mostly self-taught along with studying art at Marist College and participating in many workshops. Her work was recently accepted into juried shows at the Walkill River Center For The Arts, one of which was chosen as the Best of Show. She has also shown her work in shows at the Hudson Valley Gallery in Cornwall, Cornell Street studios in Kingston, the Gallery at the Kent Art Association in Connecticut, the artist collective of Hyde Park, and Arts Mid Hudson in Poughkeepsie. Kim has been honored to receive many awards for her work and also creates artwork on commission. She likes to work in graphite, colored pencil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink and collage.
