Rev up your Branding & Marketing for Artists

Date: May 8

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Location: Virtual via Zoom

Price Per Student: $5 members, $15 non-members

Age: Adults 25+

Workshop Description: Whether you’re an individual artist, a small cultural group or an arts organization, you have a brand. So we'll look to create (or flesh out) your brand story and boost your marketing. A logo, website, e-news and social media are vital parts of the mix - how are yours working for you? Or do you need these items? In this workshop, we’ll provide on-the-spot ideas and inspirations to get your marketing efforts moving. We’ll look at real examples and talk about what you’re doing - or could be doing - in a fun, spirited discussion.

Materials Needed: Participants should be ready to share their websites and/or social media pages - though, it’s not required if they prefer not to jump in.

About the Teaching Artist: Andrea Rhodes is a marketing specialist helping businesses, organizations and artists put their best foot forward. She often wears two hats - as owner of Gig Marketing and co-founder/producer at Tangent Theatre Company, a professional theater group producing character-driven plays. A native of Dutchess County, she has been based in Tivoli, for fifteen years. Prior to relocating to the Hudson Valley, she worked at world-class advertising and marketing firms in New York City for over two decades. She is co-director of Tivoli Merchants + Artists, a board member of Arts Mid-Hudson, and member of Hudson Valley Women in Business and Upstate Women in Film & Television. She is a Hudson Valley Magazine Top Women in Business honoree.
