Patricia Churchill
The subject of this series is The Garden, the first place, Eden, if you will. I am a writer and artist living in Poughkeepsie, New York, though I was born and grew up in Washington State. I was inspired by film footage of my grandparents' garden at Browns Point, across the bay from Tacoma. My second cousin, Alex Churchill, recently found the film, digitized it and shared it with me. The film records events that took place some 70 or 80 years ago.
